Serenity now

First off...

I've added even more of you rockin' writers to my Blog-A-Ma-Roll, so take a look. I don't know what's happened lately (don't get me wrong though...I like it!), but I've received comments from some random readers out of the blue and when I've gone to check their blogs, they seem to be of like minds. Or at least senses of humor. So thanks to all and you are now on my daily "must check" list! (I hope I haven't forgotten anyone...)

Other than that, I was in a pretty pissy mood today due to the need to battle the weekend Christmas shopping crowds, and I REALLY didn't even want to blog when I got home...I was THAT mad.

To you dear shoppers that annoyed the living shit out of me today...fucking RELAX. There will be plenty of parking spaces for us all. You do not need to run over any small children or sideswipe the Salvation Army bell-ringer in your haste to get there before me. I know you're stressed. So am I. And your incessant horn honking is NOT helping anyone.

All I wanted to do was go to the bank and the grocery store, but even those areas seem to be overrun with you freakin' morons. The tellers are moving as fast as they can (and having been their manager previously, I KNOW THIS for a fact), and the grocery clerks are doing the same. Ms. Checker cannot help the fact that the woman with all the coupons would like to argue about her toothpaste purchase and how it IS the correct size for the two-for-one deal.

If you sigh ANY louder behind me, I swear to God I'm going to drop my case of water on your toe.

A little PATIENCE...I beg of you. Or we're all gonna come armed with Uzis next year, and THAT'S not Christmas cheer now, is it?

Peace on earth and mercy mild...I hate shopping on the weekends during the holidays. Where the hell is people's sense of goodwill and kindness towards others? Apparently, in the trunk under the spare tire.

Thank God for the Internet!

Thanks for linking me as well.

Welcome to life in Tucson. Eat your hearts out. I was able to buy a clothes dryer, give all information for delivery, write a check, have it verified and be back in my car in - drum roll - six minutes.

And for those of you who think of this as just the middle of the desert: I've attended concerts, ballet, theater, opera, symphonies, museums, knock-your-socks- off restaurants, book clubs, political marches, Kitt Peak Observatory, there's a university in town; well the list goes on.

I LOVE L.A. and SoCal! But I know precisely what you mean. So a bah humbug to those who make it miserable for those around them.

Took up my Uzi and went shopping late yesterday afternoon. Found a parking place, no problem! The crowds had thinned out as well, and it was pretty much like a 'normal' Saturday! So nobody got gunned down!

Didn't find what I was looking for in any of the stores though, so we came home... and I ordered it on the internet in seconds - free delivery, and in time for Christmas, too! ;-D

BTW, You bought a CASE of water! Good for you! (Even if it was the chemically flavoured stuff ;-D)

Oh, and I forgot to say that, thanks to you, I'm now reading (and occasionally commenting on!) about a dozen blogs each day, as well as yours! ;-D

Oh my god. I respect you for even attempting the mall this time of year. I can't handle it in June, but in December, I get major mall rage.

And good for you for buying more water, hopefully the expiration date is well into 2007.

I'm heading to Target this afternoon. I know, I know---that way madness lies. But it is a fitting punishment for lazy, lazy girls who put off Christmas shopping until the weekend before the holiday. Like me.

ps. Not sure how I navigated over here, (we must have blog friends in common) but I had to comment after reading your profile. We have too much in common---trying like hell to have a baby and a love for Diet Dr Pepper, just to name a couple. So. **waves*** Hi there.

LMFAO! I'm totally with you on those /other/ impatient shoppers. WTF is their prob, anyway?

y'know what's really fun (if you have the time and don't mind the chill in the air)....walk around the front of the mall parking lot like you're looking for your car and just watch all the wackos who follow you trying to get prime parking. hehehe (but alas, I have a life and don't have time for that anymore).

and I'm with wordgirl re the cards...I call them holiday cards and hope they get their before NYE ;-)
